Federal Republic of Nepal is located along the southern slopes of the Himalayas, Mount Everest (8,848 meters, the World's highest mountain peak) is in Nepal. Nepal is landlocked country, sandwiched between two Asian giants i.e. Peoples' Republic of China and India. However, Calcutta port of India and Chittagong / Mangola ports of Bangladesh are used for international trade. Nepal is spread over 147,181 square kilometers, situated at 4,500 feet above the sea level. |
